What is the Active Directory Domain Service server role?
AD DS provides a distributed database that stores and manages information about network resources and application-specific data from directory-enabled applications. Administrators can use AD DS to organize elements of a network, such as users, computers, and other devices, into a hierarchical containment structure. The hierarchical containment structure includes the Active Directory forest, domains in the forest, and organizational units (OUs) in each domain. At times i magine,how many servers,switches,routers eehhh name it are located in a humans brain? First i can not locate if all these features are not Eavesdropped! imagine, which type of authentication do they use? One thing i know for sure is that they only have one password...which can not be releaved unless you use God's Technology of creation..Like wise in the AD,Security is integrated with AD DS through logon authentication and access control to resources in the directory. But am still confused up to now that i can not figure out how all these servers in my brain work! but am convinced that it carries out the same functions like the AD........period just know it!
